If you are new to the NZPCS Million Dollar Blueprint and the concept of niche site creation you are probably feeling quite bewildered and unsure of what you are meant to achieve. (I know… I’ve been there!)
If you have completed the first stage, by now you would have set up:
Domain name and Hosting,
FTP Program
First website with Affiliate Referral and Traffic Arbitrage pages (like this one)
Auto responder,
And joined the NZPCS Forum
You have done very well to get to this stage and being new to all this has probably been a steep learning curve! Now we come to the heart of the matter… building your online empire!
This is where niche site creation come to the fore. However to streamline the process some careful planning and organisation is required.
“Silo†Structuring Of Niche Websites.
Silo Structuring gives you an overview of the big picture, how your niche sites should be organised and assists with focusing your niche and product research.
This involves organising your niches into an orderly progression and naturally related development.
You can set up a number of Silo Structures and interlink them where appropriate; that is, the two pages you link are somehow related.
Here is a basic Silo Structure:
HOME

|
MAIN THEME

/ \
SUB-THEME SUB-THEME

SUBTOPIC SUBTOPIC SUBTOPIC SUBTOPIC SUBTOPIC

Article 2 Article 2 Article 2 Article 2 Article 2
| | | | |
Article 3 Article 3 Article 3 Article 3 Article 3
| | | | |
Article 4 Article 4 Article 4 Article 4 Article 4
You can have as many sub-themes and in turn sub-topics of theses sub-themes as your niche requires. Here’s an example:
Work-From-Home

This is just a rough guide to get the point across. Chances are your Silo Structure won’t look this symmetrical or this shallow.
The goal is to drive your structure as deep and wide as you can for each sub-theme and sub-topic; some will be deeper and wider than others.
Then once this one is complete build another from your home hub and where possible link them to each other. Remember the link should be keyword relevant.
It may seem like a lot of work at first but if you are researching a subject you like or are quite knowledgeable in, you will find that it won’t take as long as you think.
Like all great projects the first step is planning; and nothing beats the good old planning tools… pencil and paper.
Start with a broad subject topic and do some keyword research. Look for related keywords that you could use as sub-themes and research those for sub categories. Draw them up in a chart as above until you have your silo structure on paper.
Now you can do product research for each of your sub-themes and sub-categories. If your Silo looks profitable, start building. If not, do more research or create a new silo plan.
Keep all your silo plans! Just because it’s not worth it now doesn’t mean it won’t be valuable in the future. Products come and go and subjects gain and lose popularity, so keep it in your ideas vault until an opportunity to use it presents itself.
(What? You don’t have an ideas vault? May I suggest you start one today! I will talk more on this subject later)
I hope you found this brief tutorial is helpful in setting up your new internet empire.
