If you are not new to the web, you may have noticed that when you visit some websites that a little logo appears in either your browser address bar or on the window tab if you are using tabbed browsing.

If you are new to creating websites you may be wondering how to get your own little logo lighting up for everyone that visits your site. Afterall becoming familiar to your target market through ‘branding’ can only help, surely.
Did you know that the little logo has it’s own geek speak title…? It’s called a ‘favicon’
Many of the website giants have a team of webmasters or webmastering service companies building and maintaining their sites’ so you may have thought that creating and encoding a favicon into a site is only available to those in the big leagues and beyond your reach.
If you have been building your own websites through the NZPCS Million Dollar Blueprint or some other online venture, you are probaly wondering how on earth to get one of those favicons for your site. You will be happy to learn you can get one easily and for free!
For this website I am temporarily using my Yahoo! messenger avatar until I have found or created a more suitable image.
Firstly you will need your own image/pic/logo file and then go to FaviconGenerator.com
The site has simple and easy to follow instructions and if you already have a suitable logo you can have your favicon uploaded to our site in under 5 minutes. It will take a little longer if you have to create your own logo of course or aren’t familiar with website creation basics.
If you are part of the NZPCS Million Dollar Blueprint you will learn these basics soon enough, and if you are one of my team members I can walk you through the process personally.
Anyway, pop off to FaviconGenerator.com and have fun creating your own ‘favicons’.
