Welcome to a GREAT 2008!
There is always something about this time of year that fills you with hope, expectation and optimisim.
The hustle and bustle of Christmas and the revelries of New Year’s Eve are over. Time to look forward to what the coming months will bring…
Do you take time out to assess the events of last year and make plans for the new year. I know I didn’t use to. I would passively allow circumstances to unfold and take what life threw my way. Maybe it was the innocence of youth or lack of direction taught me growing up but I didn’t have goals or ambitions.
How times have changed. Life experience (age) has difinitely changed my life view… no longer satisfied with the rat race I have jumped of the wheel to work from home.
But it’s more than just that; how many jobs do you know can allow you to work in the beautiful surroundings pictured below?

This is where my family and I spent New Year’s Day with friends. It’s a lovely spot in the foothills of the South Island called Ashley Gorge.

It’s about an hours’ drive north west of Christchurch and is a popular holiday spot with camp grounds, picnic area and river for the kids to play in.
I was able to take my laptop, write a few articles, plan my next niche site, all the while relaxing in the sun while my husband and girls played happily in the water. How many jobs allow you to do that? Not my old job that’s for certain!
Anyway, take the time to think about your life so far and where you want to be.
Are you there yet?
Are you nearly there yet?
Will what you are doing now take you there? If not, what will?
I’m not saying that everyone’s dream should be to work from home but if it is, don’t put it off. Do something about it today!
Best of Luck for your 2008 and wishing you every success whatever you decide to do. May 2008 be your best year ever!
