You can’t see me now but I am dancing a little gig!
We have just got our internet connection restored after it went down on Xmas Eve! That’s nearly 5 days without web access! Two days to wait for techs to be on duty (Xmas stat. holidays) then another couple of days waiting for them to repair a major exchange issue.
For the average web user who uses the internet for just email and the odd bit of surfing it probably isn’t a big deal. However for a family with teenagers (us) and a husband that likes gaming (us) it can be frustrating; but for a work from home business (us) it can be disastrous!
Our family suffered complete withdrawal!
Heck, we even went fishing for the day to take our minds of it! (Candice our 9 year old with a tally of 7 caught the most fish)
Here in New Zealand, Christmas marks the beginning of Summer Vacation for students. This year it has been especially significant for our family because it also marked the beginning of me working from home full time!
Yes folks, I bit the bullet and tossed in my frustrating and exhausting job to dedicate myself full-time to earning online.
My colleagues at work think I’m nuts, and my managers didn’t want to see me go, but I took a long hard look at what I was doing and how it was going to benefit me and my family long term.
Working full-time, raising a family and trying to build an online business when you have a heart condition just wasn’t working for me. I found myself expending all this energy in a stressful job that was affecting my health, leaving me little time and energy for my family and building our dream lifestyle, so one of them had to go.
So you will be hearing a lot more from me now on. It feels scary and liberating at the same time. It’s a big step I know, and it’s not for everyone to make the leap without a parachute. So wish me luck and I will keep you informed of my progress.
To Your Work From Home Success!
