65 Market Research Sites for Niche Idea Brainstorming

November 26th, 2007 · 1 Comment

Hello to all you newbie work from home business builders.

A significant part of building your work from home online business is finding profitable niches. The first step is to brainstorm some niche ideas to start researching.

Being new to the niche website marketing concept, you may find that coming up with ideas a little daunting.

To start you off I have compiled a list of sites where you can do some niche site market research. Browsing through them will give you an idea of what people are interested in (your market) and some possible niche ideas.

Remember:
A successful niche is one that has a market; preferably hungry and willing to pay for what you are offering.
Your first priority is to look for “markets” NOT Products Product research begins after you have selected a Market.
(I will do another post regarding product research later)

Once you have selected a possible niche market you will need to do some keyword research to select the best keywords to attract your chosen market. I will cover some niche research strategies in a later post.

  1. To begin with create a bookmark folder named “Niche Ideas”
  2. Go to each site using the URLs then bookmark them into your “Niche Ideas” folder
  3. Now browse the sites looking for some niche ideas to research
  4. Jot down your ideas in a notebook, uisng notepad or word, or my favourite ‘Scribefire’
Scribefire is a full-featured blog editor Firefox Plugin that integrates with your browser and lets you easily post to your blog. … it’s also a great way to make notes while browsing.
  5. Once you have a good list you can start doing more in depth niche market research

Here’s the list of Sites in alphabetical order
