For those of you who are following this blog, I have just added the Twitter Plugin that enables my tweets to be posted here as a daily digest.
If you are not familiar with Twitter, it is a Web 2.0 application that allows you to send brief messages (tweets) to your Twitter profile page in the form of a timeline.

You can follow other peoples’ tweets so you can keep track of what they are up to through your profile timeline, and have others follow you and therefore tweet to all your online twitter friends.

I was first introduced to Twitter through the 30 Day Challenge in August 2007.

Like many Web 2.0 applications such as Facebook, Twitter is a becoming an essential part of modern online social networking phenonomen.

If you are a FireFox user (and every online marketer should be) there is a Twitter Plugin that allows you send tweets straight from your firefox address bar. So when you discover a neat website you like, you can share it easily with the simplicity of sending a text message.

And for your txt-a-holics out there, tweets can also be sent from your mobile phone. Keep everyone up to date with what you are doing in the real world and reach a wider audience than your phone address book..

The gap between online and offline is closing fast!! With the new ‘Smart-Phone’ technology it is easier than ever to keep connected to the web while on the move in your daily life. The world is truly gettng smaller!

And now with the Wordpress Twitter Plugin I can keep you, my blog followers, up to date with what I’m doing too!

02 December 2007 UPDATE…

After some consideration I have turned of the twitter updates on this blog.

Now why would I do such a thing?

Well, I went into my Auto Responder the other day to do some admin maintenance and noticed that all my twitter updates were being sent out by RSS every day to my list. So everyday my subscribers were getting my tweet updates which I feel could be annoying. The danger here is that I could lose a number of subscribers that may feel I am spmming them with useless information, afterall they subscribed to get practical advice on how to build a work from home online business not receive annoying spam-like tweets everyday.

So in the interests of keeping my readers happy I have turned off the Daily update option on this blog. If you still want to follow me on twitter you can add me to your twitter ‘following’ list.

Anyway, I would appreciate any feedback about this decision.
