In my last post I wrote about having writer’s block - which is of concern for any blogger - and for me personally was my Achilles Heel.
I found the whole process of identifying and verbalizing my secret fears and inadequacies in electronic form to be cathartic and an interesting thing that happened as I burbled on about my personal challenges.
I found myself ruminating about other challenges a new blogger faces when starting out, recalling my own mistakes, and the things I’ve learned since my ignorant beginnings.
So I thought to myself “why not create a series of posts” on this topic?
Then the flood gates opened and I found myself jotting down a list of other “challenges” I suffered when starting out as a blogger.
So the concept
“Growing Pains of a Work From Home Blogger Series”
is born.
Here is my list so far… (In no particular order)
- Selecting a Blog Topic
- Selecting a Blog Theme
- Selecting Blog Categories
- Selecting Blog Tags
- Making a Post Interesting
- Selling Without Selling
- Composing Article Posts
- Finding Topical Information
- Deciding on a Writing Style
- Attracting Readership…
I find it interesting that a post about having writers block has given birth to a potential swarm of article posts ideas. Check back to see how these posts develop.
No doubt there are many more challenges that newbie bloggers need to overcome and if you can think of any, don’t hesitate to suggest them using the comment function below.
